Who does your family consist of? My husband, Kevin (we met in college and it took a year for me to work up the "courage" to respond when he said "hello" to me), A son Sully, a daughter Chenoa, another son Trevayne and another daughter Annaset (she's a Disney Souvenir!!) A large dog, two cats and a frog (yes, a frog I love amphibians!)
What is your occupation? I teach Pre-K and volunteer in my children's classrooms (mother and wife does that count too?).
How did you find TheMouseForLess? Gosh, I have been here almost from the start but didn't really ever post until maybe 2 years ago. I forget how I found MFL.
How long have you been a member of MFL? See above.
If you have a MFL title, how did you get it? Nope no titles.
How many times have you vacationed to a Disney destination? Twice 1999 and 2004 can't wait to go again!!
Who is your favorite Disney Character and why? I have two. Eeyore- I am afraid I can be a bit like him at times, but he is loyal to his friends and though he is quiet, he seems to have an unexpected wisdom. I have identified with Eeyore since I was a little kid. Tinkerbell there was a period when my oldest son was obsessed with Peter Pan and he gave everyone in the family a character's personna. He assigned me Tinkerbell. I've adored the little fairy since then. I tell people that I Iook like Tinkerbell on the "inside" ('cause I certainly don't look like her on the outside LOL!)
What is your most embarrassing Disney Moment? That would have to be when I cried, no SOBBED hysterically all the way through Splash Mountain. Not just for the drop but for the entire ride. My oldest son held my hand and kept telling me it would all be OK. My husband and daughter we in the seat ahead of us and there were two teen girls in the front. They (the girls) became so concerned with all the crying that they turned around and asked my daughter is she was OK to which she replied "oh, I'm ok, that is my mother crying!" I screamed like a banshee on the big drop and after it was over my knees were literally knocking so much I could barely stand to get out of the boat!!
Do you consider yourself to be a Disney expert or novice? Well, certainly not an expert but I obsessively plan our trips so I'm not quite a novice either.
What is your best tip for saving money on a Disney Vacation? I save all our loose coins, return cans for the deposit, and I do several survey sites. We always have our trip saved for before we go so we don't save money while there other than maybe sharing a meal and staying at a value and hoping for a discount to reduce the rate.
What is your favorite attraction at a Disney park? Hmm, NOT Splash Mountain! LOl! I don't think I have an all time favorite there is too much to choose from! Carousel of Progress comes to mind, the Safari, Peter's Pan Flight, and Beauty and the Beast Show. That's a trick question!! As long as it doesn't go FAST or DROP, I pretty much like it.
Besides Disney, what is your favorite pastime? I love to read and take photos
If you were stranded on a desert island, what would be the one thing would want with you and why? My family, I don't think I could live without them.
What is your favorite movie (Doesn't have to be Disney)? Don't think I have one. I have several "favorites" , I am obsessed with the Harry Potter BOOKS though.
What is your favorite food? I love a good Pizza, lobster is always a treat so long as I don't have to look at it before it is cooked. I also love salad!
If you won the lottery, what would be the first thing you would do? Pay of the debt that we have (van, house), make sure that the kids college education would be paid for, invest some, make a charity donation maybe buy a bigger house (ours is not even 1000 sq feet for 6 people).
What is your favorite Holiday or time of year? I love the autumn and I really don't know why . I also love Christmas (but not the cold).
What would people be surprised to know about you? Well, if I told you you would know then wouldn't you? ; )
