What is your name? Theresa Rosenberg
Who does your family consist of? Me (41), dh, Tim, (47), ds, Derek (16), ds, Jason, (14), great dog, Roxie, and our 19 yr. old cat, Honeybun.
What is your occupation? 4th grade teacher.
How did you find TheMouseForLess? Searching on the 'net for Disney stuff.
How long have you been a member of MFL? 4 yrs. or more, I used to only lurk and read when we had a big trip planned, now I'm addicted!!
If you have a MFL title, how did you get it? Not yet! Maybe someday!
How many times have you vacationed to a Disney destination? 1 true "vacation" which was last summer, but since we live only 90 min. away, we have made too many weekend trips and day trips to count!
Who is your favorite Disney Character and why? Eeyore. It used to be Pooh, but gradually I've shifted to Eeyore. I think it's because Eeyore always has that "little black rain cloud of gloom" over his head, and that's kind of me in the last couple of years. But he keeps plodding along. He also moves slowly and he's soft and cuddly. He just needs someone to love him, and he has some great Disney friends in Pooh, Piglet and Tigger, just like me!
What is your most embarrassing Disney Moment? It would have to be at a MVMCP one year. We were a large group of 12, 6 adults and 6 small children. We were back in Fantasyland and my friend went to take her 2 yr. old daughter to ride Dumbo. She reappeared in just a few minutes without her daughter and I asked her where she was. She replied, "Oh, I gave her to some man in the Dumbo ride who said she could ride with him and his son". We stood and watched the ride load and unload several times and I finally said "I can't believe you just gave Kaylee to some man you didn't even know in the Dumbo line". All the adults began laughing at me, as I hadn't noticed that one of the dad's in our group was missing. HE was the man in the Dumbo line! They still tease me years later (especially when I'm having a blonde moment!) about being in the Dumbo line!
Do you consider yourself to be a Disney expert or novice? Somewhere in between. My friends consider me to be an expert, but compared to people on this list, I'm no where near an expert.
What is your best tip for saving money on a Disney Vacation? My best tip is to leave the non-Disney lover's at home (like my dh, and youngest son). That saves me loads of money!! But, eat a kid's meal whenever you can. That usually is enough to fill me up (or leave me room for a treat later!). Also ask for a cup of ice water to drink or even refill your empty water bottle.
What is your favorite attraction at a Disney park? Thunder Mtn. at MK, Soaring at Epcot, Rock & Roller Coaster at MGM, & Expedition Everest at AK.
Besides Disney, what is your favorite pastime? Reading and scrapbooking.
If you were stranded on a desert island, what would be the one thing would want with you and why? My scrapbooks and supplies. I am so far behind that I could scrapbook for a long time and maybe get caught up. Also, I could look at all the completed albums and remember our fun, happy family times.
What is your favorite movie (Doesn't have to be Disney)? Same Time, Next Year with Alan Alda, Grease, and Dirty Dancing.
What is your favorite food? I love chocolate!
If you won the lottery, what would be the first thing you would do? Pay off my bills, then buy Premium Annual Passes for my family and mom, and book a stay at a deluxe resort for 2 weeks.
What is your favorite Holiday or time of year? Fall, our FL days are beginning to get cooler and less humid, which also means hurricane season is starting to wind down too (we were hit by 3 of the 4 hurricanes in FL in 2004)! It's also my birthday in Oct. and usually a weekend trip to the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot.
What would people be surprised to know about you? I can't whistle. I don't have many secrets.
What is your favorite aspect of MFL? The people. Everyone is so nice and friendly. They joke back and forth and the helpfulness. I love that so many people support GKTW. I love knowing that there are other people as addicted to Disney as me! Thanks for reading my long epistle!!
