From Our MouseForLess Members:

MouseForLess Interesting Facts about the resort:
The lobby is beautiful with plants and waterfalls.- Allyson

MouseForLess Room Request Tips:
Either by the front (Great Ceremonial House) or Tahiti in the back. Tahiti is close to the Ticket and Transportation Center (within walking distance) and the monorails to Epcot. - Allyson

If you have small children and are planning on coming back to the resort for an afternoon nap ask for a room on the ground floor. It's a lot easier and quieter to take turns sitting outside the sliding door on the patio and then the parents can take turns exploring without having to keep opening the main room door. - Steve Carter

MouseForLess Hidden Treasures:
Take a trip to the Tambu lounge and grab a Lapu Lapu and go see the torch lighting ceremony. Nothing like seeing a Polynesian ceremony with a pineapple drink in your hand. - Steve Carter

The Electric Water parade passes by every night around 9pm. - Allyson

MouseForLess Tips for Romance:
The beaches at the Polynesian have spectacular views of Wishes. Either grab a hammock or walk out to the point for a quieter more romantic view. - Steve Carter

MouseForLess Tips for Families:
Sometimes the quickest way to MK isn't through the monorail station in the Main lodge. Sometimes it's faster to make the short walk to the TTC along the nicely themed paths. Especially if you are there during a busy period and are trying to get a ride in the front seat. - Steve Carter

MouseForLess Tips for Large Travel Groups:
The luau is a fun time for all groups, large and small. Be sure to ask for special buttons when you check in - first visit, honeymoon, birthday, etc - Allyson

MouseForLess Tips for Guests with Special needs:
All buildings were handicapped accessible and I noticed Disney as a whole was very open to people with special needs. - Allyson

MouseForLess Tips for WDW Newbies:
Use the monorail system to hop back to your room in the hottest part of the day. We stayed at the park from opening until around 1-2pm, came back to the room to swim and nap and went back to the park after it cooed off around 5-6pm. - Allyson

Got an annoying itch you can't reach? Run to the Tambu lounge and kick back with the best drink in the "world" the Backscratcher it comes with a free bamboo backscratcher. - Steve Carter

MouseForLess Tips for Budget Travelers:
This is not really a budget resort but we found that the dining plan saved our family of 3 over $300! - Allyson

Don't forget to check out the activities in the Big house for the kiddo's, plenty of beads and fun stuff especially on a rainy afternoon. - Steve Carter

MouseForLess Tips for Luxury Travelers:
Ohana is fun, the luau is great, skip on over one monorail stop to the GF for dinner at Victoria and Albert's for REAL luxury!! - Allyson
