Howard Johnson Enchanted Land

Date of Stay: February, 2006
Type of Resort: Off-Property
Rate Paid During Your Stay: We got great rate offered over her through one
of the National Newspapers about £270/$450 for 14 nights.
Room sleeps : 4, it had 2 double beds. There was hanging space in a sink
area, bath with door. A comfy chair and stool, desk, large TV and double
draw unit. Coffee maker and hairdryer were in the room too. The space for
clothes seemed limited but I suppose most people don't go for 2 weeks :o)

The Mouse For less Tip:
Comments: The room was clean and tidy. My one grumble was that because the window was huge with no nets or blinds we had to keep the curtains closed at
all times and it seemed a little grim at times. I do a lot of shopping which
had to be stored on the other bed in open view The maid came in everyday and
there were lots of clean towels, and 2 soaps and 1 shampoo everyday. These
were great for GKTW. There is a pool – we didn't use it, a breakfast place,
which offered free child breakfast if you bought adult one (we didn't use
it). The room had free local calls and free HBO?? – DH loved the films with
no adverts! There was an ice machine at the end of the passage way (with ice
bucket in the room). It was quiet when we were there and there was always
carparking right next to the room.
There was free bus service to all the parks.
What I did like about it was the location. Although further from the parks
than we have been before, it was on the junction of 535 and 192. It was
about 5 minutes walk to Olive Garden, 5 mins in the car to GKTW, a Walmart,
a Super target, Jo-Ann's. 10 Minutes would put you on I4. After leaving the
hotel you could basically be at any Disney park within 15/20 mins. I had
dreaded it as I knew that the 192 could be really busy but we never had any
problems.
