Liki Tiki Resort
Family Name: Gretchen W.
Resort: Liki Tiki Resort
Date of Stay: 09/28/02 thru 10/05/02
Type of Resort: This resort is a Five Star Timeshare resort.
Rate Paid During Your Stay: My mom owns a timeshare and our stay
was obtained through Interval International as a condo exchange.
They paid an exchange fee of $200 (I think), and we paid an upgrade
fee of $200 to get a 2bdrm (instead of a 1). Works out to around
$60 per night (not including money they spend each month for
timeshare.) For us personally, it was $30 a night--a total steal.

Don't miss: The on-site water park, Liki Tiki Lagoon. It has 5 slides, 4 of which are small, spraying fountains, wave pool, kiddie
pool, tiki bar & grill. Was great to have right on site, for FREE as part of our stay. Older kids might be disappointed with small
size and lack of big slides (say vs. Blizzard Beach), but it was great for our family.
Room Location Suggestion: We were right by the exit which was nice for coming and going to parks. Would have been nice to be closer to
water park or one of other two smaller pools, but it also would have been noisier that way.
The Mouse For less Tip: They offered free coffee/juice and donuts each morning from 8-10 by one of the small pools. Good way to save
on breakfast!
Comments: Overall we liked this "home away from home¨ resort with kitchen, 2 bdrms, fold out couch in family room, and 2 full baths.
Our unit was a 2-story, and our 15 month old kept going up and down stairs, which was not ideal. Biggest complaint was we had a problem
with getting the A/C fixed (took THREE times), but was eventually resolved. Wish it was closer to Disney main entrance. It is 7 miles
away; west on 192, which was fine, but took so long sometimes to get to parks, get spot, get on tram, etc. etc, that we didn't feel it
was worth the effort to go back to the condo for naps, lugging two small kids and strollers, etc more than once in a day. We were also
lured by the promise of "boat rentals¨ and there were these beat up canoes and hydrobikes on this tiny pond they called a lake. Missed
the "Disney touch¨ of an on-site resort.
