Don't Miss: There's nothing really spectacular here but the theming is a lot of fun if you enjoy sports. Take a walk around the resort and check out the different areas.

Room Location Suggestion: We were in building 5, room 5242. It was a little hike to the lobby and busses, but not bad at all. The room was very close to the stairs, elevator and the ice machine. It overlooked palmetto bushes and trees... a very relaxing view. It was far enough from the pool that we were not disturbed by pool noise and close enough that it was a short walk.

The Mouse For Less Tip: We weren't early risers (we stayed out late every night and slept in in the mornings), so we ate a late breakfast at the resort before leaving for the parks each day. Breakfast was much cheaper than lunch at the parks.

Comments: For a value resort, this hotel is nice. I prefer Pop Century, but this resort is 2nd on my list of values. The rooms have recently been redone so the furniture, carpeting and drapes are all pretty new. The food court here seemed much smaller than Pop's but there was a decent selection. Our only "problem" was with high school students at the pool. Our kids (age 10) and any other small children were pretty much shoved to one end of the pool while the older kids (with no chaperones in sight) took over the rest of the pool (throwing a football and playing chicken with one person on the other person's shoulders). During the day the life guards kept them at bay but after 10, the life guards leave and I had to "move them over" a few times.

Don't Miss: Mt. Mickey (very cute)

Room Location Suggestion: we were stuck in the last building in the back after requesting a preferred room, Told at check in none were available and we were "downgraded". Not a good start. Three days into our trip they called and said we could move. As we had three of us already unpacked we declined. And after seeing all the children running around at 2 am in the morning, I am glad we did.

The Mouse For Less Tip: Nothing, I don't understand parents who let their children run loose at 2 am. And I am not talking about older children, we saw a lot of kids under the ages of 12.

Comments: This hotel is the lowest of the low on the Disney scale. Staff was rude, maids barely made the rooms and lots of noise.

Name Of Resort: All Star Sports Resort

Date Of Stay: January 23-24,2005

Type Of Resort: Value

Rate Paid During Your Stay: $66 per night with AAA discount. We booked that day as we were "trapped" in Orlando when our flight was cancelled after our DCL cruise.

Room Sleeps : 4

Please Rate The Following On A Scale From 1-10 (10 being the best):

Theming: 9
Room Size: 7
Amenities: 7
Quality: 7
Cleanliness: 9
Transportation: N/A
Recreation: 8
Value: 8

Over All Rating: 8

Don't Miss:

Room Location Suggestion: We were in room 8330, Building 8 (Home Run). It was a third floor room. Was ok for 1 night, but it was quite a hike from the room to the parking lot.

The Mouse For Less Tip: Refillable Mug. Even though we were only there for 1 night, we did purchase 1 mug. We shared it.

Comments: We have always stayed at the AllStar Sports. It is good enough for us, since our time in the rooms is minimal. As my kids get older (10 and 14) I can see that the small rooms at the AS Sports will not be sufficient, but it would be ok with 2 small children.
