Don't Miss: The giant boots at Country; the shady, secluded playground; the Ariel statue at the Piano Pool and the squirting Three Caballeros at the Guitar pool; the rose garden and fountain at night in front of Jazz. Beautiful!
Room Location Suggestion: Jazz Buildings, facing center of resort; don't pay extra for Calypso (preferred) unless you must be facing a pool loaded with kids to be happy. Jazz is almost as close to Melody Hall.
The Mouse For Less Tip: Buy milk in the gift shop, not in the food court where it costs twice as much! The price per quart is only a bit more than what we pay at home. Add a box of doughnuts (and coffee for the adults) and have a cheap, quick breakfast by the pool.
Comments: Our son picked this resort out of the Birnbaum guide based on the picture of the Three Caballeros statue at the guitar pool. We have mostly been pleased with it, as we just require a basic room and pool. Although it can get crowded during Pop Warner week, we have found it manageable by avoiding the food court and pool at peak times.
Our only real gripe this time was that, since we mostly eat dinner at the resort, there was a poor selection for dinners for those of us who are staying more than a week . We went next door to AS Music Resort and ate there a couple of nights--great salmon platter for only $9.95.
Don't forget that you can pool hop at this resort and use the pools at any of the three All Stars, but I would bring a change of clothes unless you like long walks in wet bathing attire!

Transportation: 7 bus stop is almost always the furthest away at the parks.

Value: 6 I am used to value season rates, not regular.
Over All Rating: 8 I have stayed here many times before.
Don't Miss: I had the same mug I bought in nov 2003 and used in may 2004, and it was still the same one they were selling.
Room Location Suggestion: I had room 462. It was ground floor, king, right by the pool which I loved.
The Mouse For Less Tip: Well we had a nice location, but I have found other
trips that even if you get a preferred room, sometimes its quite a walk anyways.
Comments: I really only had one complaint this trip. I had booked my
reservation into two separate ones as I wasnt sure if my little girl was joining me.
When I arrived and seen how much I liked my location, I told them that I wanted
it for the second half, and they tried to tell me they had already assigned it
to someone else, and was trying to give me a room further away. I had paid
for preferred room for both halfs. I checked twice and both times they told me I
coudlnt keep it, yet the check out morning I called again, and they said hang
on.. then came back and said you can keep that room. So figure that out.

Don't Miss:
Room Location Suggestion: We were in the Broadway section, 1st floor,
backside, room 8420. I really liked being on the 1st floor, no stairs
or elevators to deal with! I would have prefered to be in the Jazz
building beings it is closer to the foodcourt & buses. But this
building was quiet, which was nice. The Piano pool & laundry was close
by as well.
The Mouse For Less Tip:
Comments: I really found the bus service to be lacking here. I think
during busy times the All Star resorts need to have their own buses &
not share. They were always crowded. Our overall expierience here was
just fine. This would not be my 1st choice for a place to stay, but I
would stay here again if this was the only one available.

Rate Paid During Your Stay: We'd booked it as a package deal through
our travel agent and I don't remember the actual rate.

have been pretty tight.

Don't Miss: They seemed to be doing `tattoos' pool-side most evenings. Looked pretty cool.
Room Location Suggestion: We were upgraded free, so our room was super close to the main building. It was great to be able to take a stroll over to refill our mugs or to check out the gift shop. Plus, it was never a long walk back to the room after a long day at the park. I don't know if I'd necessarily pay to be close, but it was really nice.
The Mouse For Less Tip: Don't touch that phone! lol We were told on check in that calls from the room would cost a small fortune, so it would be best if we didn't use it. Even with the cell bills, I still think it cost less than if we'd used the phone in-room.
Comments: This place was lots of fun! We were two 25 year old girls and we were just looking for someplace clean and relatively cheap on-site. This fit the bill perfectly! I found that this was probably the most `grown-up' of the All-Stars, so if you're just going with adults, this might be the place to stay. The buses home at the end of the night were always packed and the All-Stars seemed to have the longest lines. My friend & I usually just decided to take the Downtown Disney bus instead, walk around there for a little while and then take the bus back to the resort. It was MUCH less stressful and we got to spend more time in DTD than we
probably would have had we taken the bus directly back to the hotel.

Don't Miss: The main pool is nice.
Room Location Suggestion: I stayed in the Broadway building, right next to the parking lot. Pretty far walk from the lobby/food court.
The Mouse For Less Tip: This is a great value resort. The prices are very reasonable.
Comments: If you don't care about staying at a "motel" style resort then this is for you. They have 2 pools and what plenty of chairs for relaxing.
