Magic Castle Inn and Suites

Submitted by: Marianne (Prayers Needed Badly)

Resort: Magic Castle Inn and Suites

Date of Stay: April 2004

Type of Resort: Off-Property

Hi - We just stayed at the Magic Castle Hotel 2 weeks ago and found it very nice for the price. ($28 per night for a suite).

It looks like it may have been a Days Inn or something at one time but it has been renovated to look like a Castle on the outside. They offer a Continental Breakfast each day from 7A-9A of Milk, Coffee, Juice, Punch, Donuts, Cereal and Fresh Fruit.

The rooms are very nice and each has a small refridgerator in it. If you get the suite, you also get a microwave oven. Also if you get one of the suites, there is a half wall dividing the sleeping area and a small sofa and coffee table. The sofa also opens into a bed.

Housekeeping is very good and there are 2 coin washers and dryers in the back of the hotel.

They were very accomodating with my husbands health condition and accepted the delivery of Oxygen before we even got there. The night desk clerk lives there and stated that if we need any help with anything, to just call her room directly. You don't find that at a large hotel. It is also wedged right between 2 Publix Grocery Stores so that makes it real convienient. Also Publix has alot of Disney Souvineers also cheeper that the parks have them. I found a real nice tote bag for $7.99 and the parks wanted $28.

There is shuttle service to disney each day like the large hotels.

All in all I found it quite nice, centrally located and very reasonable. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Hope this helps you out.

Don't Miss: This hotel is an older hotel, but kept very clean. They have a playground, laundry area, and a small pool. It took us about 10 mins to drive to the gates of Disney from here.

Room Location Suggestion: They are very accomidating if you need to stay on the first floor.

The Mouse For Less Tip: Ask for the internet special rate found on their website http://www.magicorlando.com . You can also get a weekly rate of $140.00 + tx. Also, don't miss the free continental breakfast. They have milk, oj, fruit punch, water, several kinds of donuts, 3 or 4 kinds of cereal, oranges, apples, and bananas. We thought that was an excellent value for the price we payed.

Comments: We spend most of our time exploring WDW, so we really can't justify spending alot of money on a hotel room. This hotel was friendly, efficient, clean, and an excellent value. It does not have themed pools or mickeyhead soaps, but if you are just looking for a nice, clean, inexpensive place to stay, check them out.
