Portobello Yacht Club, Downtown Disney

Attention The Mouse For Less Readers: We are still looking for restaurant reviews. Please help us by filling out the restaurant review form. We appreciate all reviews! Please send any pictures of restaurants, menus or food that you would like to share with other Disney lovers to menu@themouseforless.com.

Who: Lisa, Jen, and Cora

Where: Portobello Yacht Club - DTD

When: Friday, 2/27/04

What: Dinner - Tomato, mozzarella, onion, basil appetizer; Lobster tail and pasta meal ($46.00 I think); Two of the special menu selections where you get an appetizer, salad, entree, dessert and coffee ($46.95 each I think)
Appetizer: We each got the bruschetta but only because they did not have calamari - apparently they only recieved the small ones and the chef refused to serve those?? But the bruschetta was very good! Ceasar Salad
Entree: one of the Parmesan cheese encrusted steak (this was disappointing to me. I've gotten this the last two times I was there and will not order it again) and one of the Spaghettini alla Portobello which came loaded with seafood, (unlike Spoodles!) and was very good.
Dessert - one creme brulee (very good!) and one chocolate cake (not so good! on the dry side) Coffee and espresso

Approximate Price of Entrees: $210 total, including tip (includes three Bloody Mary's and one glass of wine)

Rate the following (1-5, five being the best!)
Food: 2
Service: 4
Atmosphere: 3.5
Okay for Children: Not if they are looking for entertainment...
Okay for Couples: yes
Be Sure to Try: The lobster was wonderful! (But the pasta that went with it was disappointing)

General tips: We went early, around 4pm...sat down immediately

Dollarless tips: Portions were average...the meal thing we got was way way way too much food for one person, and I can eat quite a bit.

Extra Comments: Not worth the money in our opinion...There are so many other places to eat that we'll probably not go back there, at least for a very long time!
