Who: A and J

Where: Pacific Wharf Cafe

When: June 25, 2007

What: Lunch, roast beef sandwich, sonoma chicken salad

Rate the following (1-5, five being the best!)

Food: 5

Service: 4

Atmosphere:

Okay for Children: Yes

Be Sure to Try: chicken salad was really good. Came served with enough sourdough bread to feed an army.

General tips: If you want, you can ask for butter, at the counter for the sourdough. We ended up doing that, and ate sourdough with butter for an hour.... Bring your own water, drinks are expensive...

Extra comments: Lunch was great, however, the chineese place was closed, and that limited choices to the soup and salad, sandwich place or Mexican. Do check to see what is planned to be open, so you don't have your heart set on something, and then can't get it.

Be Sure to Try: The clam chowder & vegie chili was very good!!

General tips: We sat outside in shade & enjoyed the break from the hustle & bustle of the park.  We were also serenaded by an all female mariachi band.  Nice little bonus we enjoyed.

MouseforLess Tip: These servings are very big & for some people with smaller appetites, you could easily share a bowl of soup, taking full advantage of eating the entire sourdough soup bowl.

Extra comments: A must do when we return again!!

Okay for Children: "Yes": outdoor eating on the wharf overlooking Paradise Pier. Great for the restless child to work off some energy!
Okay for Couples: Yes, especially at night. Can be quiet and quaint during "off" meal times.
Be Sure to Try: ANYTHING in the Boudin's bread bowl. Clam chowder and Shrimp Louis are our favorites. End your meal with a tasty chocolate macaroon!!

General tips: Line moves VERY fast, even when long. Worth the wait! Plan to eat during parade time and sit next to the water. You get a GREAT view of the Electrical parade.....very few people take advantage of it!!

Dollarless tips: Great meal sizes. Bread bowl makes this an VERY filling meal.

Extra Comments: One of our all-time favorite spots. We NEVER miss at least 2 or 3 meals here on a weekend visit, as the value and food are excellent. NOTE: There are discounts at this resuaurant so ASK! Also, AP Dining pins are available with a $20 purchase for free BUT you must ask for them.
