Food: 2
Service: 1- our server was Luis we were seated for 20mins before he even came to take our drink order....we had seen Dale, Chip and Pluto in that time. He never offered us more food or drink refills...very disappointed in the service
Atmosphere: 5
Okay for Children: Yes it's characters Chip, Dale, Pluto and Mickey
Okay for Couples: if you like characters yes
Be Sure to Try: Dessert! Other then that we didn't like the food
General tips: it was very busy here! We arrived 20 mins before our ADR and ended up waiting 45 to be seated! we sat on the floor and attempted to keep ds entertained!
TheMouseForLess tips: Disney Dining Plan-i would have been extremely upset if we would have paid for this meal OOP...didn't feel it's worth the $76 it would have cost us
Extra Comments: The place is fairly small the characters make the rounds quite easily! We save Chip Dale and Pluto 3 times before we ever saw Mickey...not sure where Mickey was! We had a lot of fun with Dale...we asked him if he was chip or dale and he grabs the autograph book and opens it up to a page and points but it was eyeores name we dh and I joked with him about that and he was so funny! Everytime he would come to our table we would say HI EYEORE! he would put his hand/paw on his hip and scold us! it was a lot of fun! This will not be a repeat eat though for us!

Okay for Children: Yes
Okay for Couples: Yes--this is a quiet character meal
Be Sure to Try: My son (10) didn't like the chicken nuggets and I
tasted them and agreed they had a funny flavor to them. The macaroni
and cheese was mushy. The steak they first served us was wayyy too
rare so I asked for some that was more well done. The second batch
was sooo well done I couldn't chew the top piece but the rest were
alright. The mushroom sauce was really good. The best part of the
meal was the potato casserole. I like the salad a lot too. My baby
ate the cornbread :) I ate mostly the catfish which was fine,
nothing great. The chicken was read in the center and I can't stand
that so no one at our table touched that. The celebration cake I
ordered had like a chocolate mousse in it that was soooo yummy and we
only ate half the cake so we did give the rest to the table beside
us :)
General tips: We sat on the upper level, but I think that the booths
on the lower level have a better view. We were there at 4:45 so one
of the first tables seated. We had a lot of character interaction
but the entire restaurant had a not quite ready feel about it. I
never got a water refill until I was almost ready to leave :(
TheMouseForLess tips: I just didn't feel this meal was worth the
price!
Extra Comments: Character interaction here was good! We saw Mickey,
Pluto, and Chip & Dale all in farmer attire. The food is served
family style.
Garden Grill - Amie - 5/15/2008
This is in Epcot located in the Land. (1 table service)
The Food is served family style it was Chicken, steak, mash potatoes, and string
beans and a dessert....it was cold and kinda dry...it was just ok
Pro's- The Restaurant rotates slowly and looks over the Land Ride...that is
the neat part about this place. Characters were Chip & Dale, Mickey and Pluto.
They come around the tables alot.
Con's- I have a few.....the server was just ok. It took her along time to make
it around and she was nice but just doing her job nice. The food was ok...not
bad but nothing to write home about. One thing that really bothered me was that
while we were eating and while the Characters are coming around people outside
walking around were not stopped so they were walking up the ramps and yelling
for the Characters and a few children ran up to them while we were taking
pictures or eating and no one said anything.
The best part is the characters and the way it moves....it was ok but I won't
go back.
Who: Kelly in Md and kids (ds 10 and dd 8)
Where: The Garden Grill
When: 9/16/06

Approximate Price of Entrees: $67.19 for the 3 of us
Rate the following (1-5, five being the best!)
Food: 4

Atmosphere: 4
Okay for Children: Yes
Okay for Couples: Yes--this is a quiet character meal
Be Sure to Try: The turkey was on the dry side and the flank steak was OK, but the catfish was outstanding! The vegetables were crispy and fresh. My kids liked the mac and cheese.
General tips: We sat on the upper level, but I think that the booths on the lower level have a better view. There is no rest room inside the restaurant itself. If you need a rest room, you have to use the one on the upper level of The Land. It's not a far walk.
TheMouseForLess tips: Lunch is less expensive than dinner, and I think the only menu difference is that dinner includes a salad.
Extra Comments: Character interaction here was good! We saw Mickey, Pluto, and Chip & Dale all in farmer attire. The food is served family style.
Who: Riordan Family - dh, myself, dd-7, ds-6
Where: Garden Grill - The Land at Epcot
When: Januray 24, 2006

Food: 4 - all you can eat family style - quite a variety - inc. catfish,
chicken, veggies, potatoes.
Service: 5 - had a great waiter
Atmosphere: 5 - what a blast! Love that the rest. moves.
Okay for Children: YES! Characters.
Okay for Couples: Yes
Be Sure to Try: The veggies were so good - grilled and fresh! Yummy!
General tips: A good rest. to keep in the back of your mind if you need a
last minute ressie - I never saw anyone turned away. If you want a lot of
character interaction, ask for a booth on the outside - plus you get to see
the scenery.
TheMouseForLess tips: DDP
Extra Comments: A great character experience!

Okay for Children: Yes- lots of character attention
Okay for Couples: Yes-there was a honeymoon couple next to us!
Be Sure to Try: The vegetarian ravioli were stuffed w/ mushroom and cheese! They were yummy! The orange butter is TO DIE FOR! Still dreaming about when I can have more!
General tips: The restaurant rotates but VERY slowly. I had posted asking about the motion because my parents are very motion sick prone. This restaurant did not bother them in the least. We even forgot that it moved until we left and we had to walk the opposite way to the exit!
TheMouseForLess tips: It wasn't a cheap meal by any means but it was worth every penny. Plus we were guaranteed a seat for CP.
Extra Comments: Our server Nik was THE BEST. He was funny and very attentive. I wrote to Disney about him when I returned home but never heard back from them.

Service: 4.5 * see below for explanation
Atmosphere: 5
Okay for Children: Absolutely!
Okay for Couples: If you like characters and you want to see a different view of the Living with Land ride - Run, don't walk, LOL!
Be Sure to Try: Try everything they bring! It is all delicious! I especially have a thing for their tomatoes and the salad dressing and the....oh! all of it, LOL. The steak is tender, the catfish is just right and I have actually told people about the veggies. The smashed potatoes should come in bigger bowls, but don't worry they bring more as soon as you ask.
General tips: If you request a booth chances are you will be on the lower level. It's up to you which you prefer. We just plain prefer a booth. I forgot to request this when we checked in for our PS at 5:30 but they quickly accommodated me once I asked. Sometimes getting the time you want can be difficult so call and make a PS as soon as you know when you are interested in.
Dollarless tips: Try and schedule your day so you can eat lunch here as the lunch prices are less expensive than the dinner prices. For the amount of food, the quality, the characters and the atmosphere ( the restaurant revolves through the scenes from the Living with the Land ride) you are really getting a lot of BANG for your buck!
Extra Comments: Be sure and ride Living with the Land before or after dinner. Your best bet is to ride it before dinner just to make sure it doesn't close before you are done with dinner since it closes at 7:00. Also, keep in mind that that whomever wants to have interaction with the characters needs to be towards the outside. Some of the characters seemed a bit more hurried than others but we definitely got a good amount of time with them. Not to mention in between visits from the characters you can appreciate the different scenes down below. * As far as my rate above for service, what knocked it down from a 5 was how long it took us to be waited on at the table. We were seated quickly and then we just sat there. Once we got rolling, everything was just fine but it was a slow starter. From what I understand it takes an hour for the restaurant to revolve once so maybe they have it timed?
