Who: Racquel and two friends
Where: Victoria and Albert at the Grand Floridian
When: Christmas Day 2002
What: dinner
Approximate Price of Entrees: this is a prix fixe meal. total cost for the
three of us was about $525.00 including a tip of about 30% (only two of us
had the wine pairings) Though obviously anything but a dollarless occasion,
it is less expensive during the non-holiday seasons

Okay for Children: Many have commented that they have well-behaved
children. I, too, had a son whom I could take anywhere; nonetheless, this
is NOT a place for children, however unpopular that notion may be
Okay for Couples: Yes; (a perfect opportunity to wear those evening
clothes)
Be Sure to Try: Something you may not have had before. Everything is so
incredibly well-prepared. The smoked buffalo tenderloin stands out in my
mind and this was a COLD APPETIZER; simply astonishing.
General tips: A chef's table is available in the kitchen which can be
reserved six months out. I would love to do this, but was glad to
experience this place in the main restaurant first.
Dollarless tips: Sadly, there's no way to walk out of this place in a dollarless fashion.
Extra Comments: I used 5 as a rating for this restaurant, but I honestly can't compare it with the others at WDW; it's in an entirely different league. In talking about it later, we realized that the meal was actually a far better value than, for instance, the $80 lunch at Sci-Fi. The quality of the food and the time and effort spent on preparation, presentation, and service of this seven-course, three-hour meal is phenomenal. We actually wondered how they could do it for $12 to $14 per course. It was the best dining experience I have had. I am considering taking a second job so that I can do it again!
