Trip Report by Tammy N. - August 2001

SUNDAY, AUGUST 6TH
* Checked in at the All Star Sports. We didn't get the coffee maker we requested but because so many of you said that you had trouble with that, we took hubby's coffee maker just in case. Good thing we did. We had a problem with our credit card so we had to straighten that out, other than that, things went smoothly.
* Looked around the resort and ate at the food court.

MONDAY, AUGUST 7TH
* We went to the Magic Kingdom using Early Entry. It wasn't as crowded as I thought it might be. We rode: Dumbo, Snow White, Aladdin's Magic Carpet's, Pirates of the Carribbean, Big Thunder Mountain and got a fast pass to Splash Mountain all before lunch. We ate at Pecos Bill's Cafe and then did Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion, got a fast pass to Space Mountain, Astro Oribiter, Carrousel of Progress, Transit Authority, Space Mountain, and Buzz Lightyear. Then the storm hit so we waited it out a little while but decided to go back to the room. We never made it back to the park that day.
* Thanks for the tip about the birthday button at City Hall. My daughter wore hers and got lots of attention from the CMs.

TUESDAY, AUGUST 8TH
* Decided that this would be our "vacation" day and relax. Had a surprise dinner at Chef Mickey's planned for 5:30 that evening. We went to the Super Walmart on 192 because my battery died in my camera and I could not bear to spend $16.00 for a battery in the gift shop when it only cost $6.62 at Walmart. Came back and took a swim which I am still nursing a sunburn.
* Took the bus to the Magic Kingdom then the monorail round trip to Epcot then took the monorail to the Contemporary. We had never done a character dinner before and these are absolutely awesome! My daughter loved her surprise dinner. Again thanks for the tips that you can go and look around other hotels. ( I never knew this) We looked around then went to the Polynesian. We watched the Electrical Water Pageant (another tip thank you) and waited for the fireworks at 10:00.

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 9TH
* Check out day. Daughter had an eye appointment so we left, came home and unpacked, and headed to the doctor. What a whirlwind trip. Hoping to go next year and take my parents along.
