6am, Limo was at our house to pick us up. In O'hare (chicago) airport, our plane was delayed, but we were surrounded by many sailors who kept my son and
I entertained the whole time. They were talking with me and playing with him and asking him questions about his gameboy. If I had to guess I would say
there was about 40 in all, and we got serandaded (sp?) with a song, but for the life of me I cant think of the name of it. We got on our plane, got our
connection in Atanta, where that plane was also delayed. Arrived at Orlando, and had Tiffany Towncar picked us up. We arrived a All Star Movies. Took a
quick look around and headed to Downtown Disney since that was all that was open at that time. But that was my sons request anyway because he wanted to
hit the lego store. We did and he wanted to go. I was dissapointed, but I was tired too, it was a long day.

We decided to hit SeaWorld first. This is my favorite place, although I havent been there since I was little. Although I never got to see Shamu or my
beloved Belugas. But all the same the shark encouter was cool and nothing beats playing with the dolphins.
Afterwards, we went to MGM. This was our first time on Rock'n Roller Coaster. We both agreed, this is the best ride ever, and its not because we are just
bored with Six flags rides. This one was different. We rode it 3 times. Once with the fast pass. The third time was a 5 minute wait. It was amazing. The
first time we were in the middle. the second, we were in the very front. The third the very back. I do not recommend sitting in the back. Being able to
have the advantage of sitting in all parts of the car, the back really hurt us. I think its safe to say this is our favorite park of the 4 Disney ones.

Went to PS breakfast at AK. Our only breakfast we really did. (the rest was muffins and donuts I brought for my son) It was okay. I guess I am not really
a breakfast person. Our CM was wonderfully funny though. He made it fun. And although my son probably wouldn't admit it, he liked the characters coming
around. We went on the Safari for the first time. He LOVED this. Although we was scared at first and didnt want to sit in the window seat. afterwards we
went though that walk you can go on afterwards. I didn't like the crowd here. To many people gathered around hairless moles or whatever they were. We did
like the primval whirl though. We rode that 2xs. Later we ate at Rain Forest Cafe. We have 2 of them out here by me, but I went there because I had a
25.00 GC from my points. Oh, I have to say something here about those PS. The night before I questioned guest services about when the buses come. She said they wont come
till 7:20, but I need to take a cab if I want to make my 8am ressie. I told her I questioned that and they told me it would okay. She said, oh no, I
couldnt possibly make it on time. I called dining from my room and told them the situation. They said the ASmo was only 10 minutes from AK, so I would be
fine. Well as it turned out the first buss didnt even come until 7:40, and we got there in plenty of time. And the PS I made for rain forest, did not
matter. We didn't get in before anyone else that was just walking in. We had to wait. It was kind of fustrating.
That afternoon we went to MK. First we hit the Tower of Terror. My sons first time. He loved it! Then next we went to the hautned house. My son is pretty
jitterish. And I am alot like him. I don't like things jumping out at me. But luckily that only really happens in one part. Except wouldnt you know it...
the ride stopped moving while we were on it. Luckily it stopped in one of my favorite parts. The part where where you see the ghosts dining and dancing in
the ballroom. What makes this especially great to be broken down in there, is I got to see things I would have never noticed before. Like the pair of feet
that kept appearing under the table. After that we searched for a few other rides. We went on the Small World. Again, I know he wont admit it, but he
really liked it. Hes been on it before, but it was like he was seeing it for the first time. (later he bought to SW children pins). The longest line was
stood in was for the one with the train roller coaster thingy. We just wanted to get on another thrill ride before we left. The line took about an hour. He
didnt want to stay for the parade or fireworks.

We decided (or rather I decided) I was dying to see The Santa Clause 2. I have a thing for liking to see movies when I am on vacation. I don't know
why. So we saw the one in Pleasure Island. The art festival had just started then. I am a graphic artist, and my son is a budding artist himself, so there
were a few things we were really intrested in. That night I made a PS at the 1900 Park Faire at Grand Floridian so my son could eat a buffet, which he
loves. He had a million mussells. The waitress was impressed with his "mature" taste buds. I didnt tell her last time we were there, he filled up
on clams and threw up on SnowWhite. hehe. Here, I got to pose with my favorite character of all... Eeyore.
Then we hoped on the monorail and headed towards epcot. I thought we could see Illuminations. Get at least 1 show, ya know? Well on the way, the people
in the monorail with us was talking about how there was a huge terrorist alert out now. Well, that is not really what I wanted to here. But my mind
got occupied with the fireworks were going off at the MK and we could see them on the monorail.
Well we got to Epcot, got in, and I am looking at the millions of people around me. And that whole terrorist conversation snuck back into my brain.
Wouldnt you know it, RIGHT AT THAT MOMENT, a teenage boy literally rolled out from behind one of those leave a legacy walls, and pretending to hold a gun
to me and my son and told us to freeze. Although it took me 2 seconds to figure it out, it was all I needed to leave. The boy (and his friends) said
sorry, but I didnt care. I was nervous enough as it was, and that put me over the edge.
Nov. 9
The original plan was to rent a car, drive to cocoa beach to see the shuttle take off. Keep the car for 2 days and drive it to the airport, instead of
having Tiffany take us back. (although I changed my mind about that on the way there) A wise member on this list warned that the shuttle plans can
change at any moment and getting launch tickets really wasnt a good idea. So I searched and searched for a waterfront hotel. That was difficult.
Everyplace was booked. At one point I had 5 different ressies for 5 different places, only 1 a waterfront hotel. But the room was a 1 bed handcapped room.
But as it turned out, I found a motel, at a 6th place, for cheaper, and our room was literally on the beach itself. Well the shuttle day changed before
we even left for Florida, but we were still going. My son has never seen the ocean.
Well we got to the rental place, and already I was told something wrong by the company which made things start off pretty bad. Then on the way there, my
son got sick all over the car. Not the inside, but all over the outside and in the cracks of the windows. I found a carwash and washed it. We lost our
beach towel in the process. We got to the motel, and as soon was we got out we both starting coughing and
sneezing. I didn't think anything of it. We got into the motel and they lost our reservations and had given away our beach room. I was ticked! But he
later found them and was going to give us a better room at the same price. He had 1 more room. But we warned me not to go into the water. I asked why. He
said they were experiencing red tide, and was uncommon for the west coast to get it, and he doesnt know when it was going away. I asked him about my son
who has many respitory problems. He said he would do what every other person on the beach was doing. STay inside the room with the windows and door sealed
tight. Ack! I looked out and there was only 1 family on the entire beach. He said it was up to me, but he wont charge me if I changed my mind. At that
point I realized everything else that went wrong was warnings, and we should just go. I wasnt angry. i was releived that we was being so honest. We did
walk down the the beach for a few minutes. It was terrible and hard to breath. The family out there approached me because they noticed we were
coughing and they questioned if I thought something was wrong because they noticed they were coughing to. They just came from Disney and were heading
back to Canada the next day. The motel guy never told them about the redtide. As we left, we saw surfer crossing the streets, with surf boards in the arms
and face masks over their mouths. We went back to the hotel at Disney and actually felt relaxed for the first time that day.
Nov. 10 we attempted Epcot again. Much better this time :) We headed straight for the fast passes for Test Track. With those we got a "surprise" Fast pass
for Honey I shrunk the audience. I was not expecting the "mice episode" which if you have been to it, you know what I am talking about. But it was great.
then we went to test track and was very dissapointed. It wasn't anything like we thought it would be. We walked around the world showcase. We didnt try any
of the food from the food and wine festivas, but it was neat seeing it all.
Later we were headed back to movies, when my son asked if we could get off at music and walk thought that and sports. So we did. At sports, we got back
onto the first bus we saw so we could go back to movies without walking. hehe. But it was a DD bus, and since we planned on going that night anyway,
we just stayed on it when it got to movies. There we went to Disney Quest. Being in Chicagoland we had AP to Disney Quest here, so it wasnt new for us.
But this time my son could go on the cyber space mountain and the Buzzs astroblaster. He wasnt big enough before. so that was fun.
Then we headed back to pack.
The next morning we reversed our trip back to Chicago, delayed planes and
all.
Today I took off, and with the left over money I went christmas shopping.
