Jill – March 2004

4 adults (acting like children) Our 4th trip, friends 1st - left our 4 kids home with Gramma!

*3/9/04 Flew from Calif to Las Vegas for a 2 hour layover (won 150.00 bucks in the airport slots!) Left at midnight to Orlando.

*3/10/04 Arrived on time at 6:15AM, met by Thom at Your Ride which was very simple and much easier and cheaper then Mears. We had our luggage and were at Pop Century really fast. Thom was nice, chatty and had lots of information.

* Checked in at Pop Century, grabbed a quick bite to eat, bought my Pal Mickey(loved him, sometimes hard to hear in crowds) and we were on the bus to Epcot. Signed us into Epcot, rode Test Track, Mission Space, Living Seas and walked around until our PS at Garden Grill. Great food & characters. Returned to room to rest. Went to DTD to shop and ate at Captain Jacks which was really good.

*3/11/04 headed to MK for EMH, signed in and headed to Mickey's Philharmagic, Buzz Lightyear, Space Mnt, People Mover (which we miss from DL), Big Thunder & Railroad. Ate lunch at The Plaza Restaurant which was good. Headed to Epcot for a few hours. Took the boat on a quick tour thru Boardwalk, Beach & Yacht club, Swan/Dolphin to MGM and took a bus back to Pop Century. Had PS at Calif Grill at 8:10 but we arrived at 7:30 and were seated w/ in minutes. Awesome dinner, watched the fireworks and shared the yummy banana/french toast dessert!! Expensive but fun to do at least once!

*3/12/04 Packed and left our luggage in the room for transfer. Grabbed a bagel/banana, left Pop Century for EMH at AK. Did the safari, Pangani Trail and Wildlife Express Train, Tarzan show (gotta love him!) and explored the Tree of life. I left the group and went to Poly to check us in. Got our rooms right away, although luggage wasn't due until 2ish. I headed to the nearest hammock w/ a drink and book. Rest of group arrived about 3 and our luggage came right up. Had a snack at Capt Cooks and wandered around our new resort home. Had PS at Ohana @ 6:50. Very crowded but were seated by the window within minutes. LOVED the food and atmosphere. Watched Wishes and had the pineapple/caramel dessert!! Headed to the Contemp for pin trading and got a few new pooh pins for my collection. Chatted with some nice castmembers.

*3/13/04 Slept in, grabbed a bite to eat at the café. Hubby and I rented 2 water mouse's for an hour and had SO much fun. Great way to see GF, Contemp. WL and area's from a different view. Headed over to MGM around noon, had PS at Sci Fi Diner and had "Mike" as our waiter. He was awesome and so funny! We had a ball and had a great burger, onion rings and choc shake!! Went on Star Tours, RocknRoller Coaster, walked & shopped. Then had PS for dinner at Prime Time Café with cousin Manny! He was great too. We got in trouble for having our elbows on the table, not having napkins in our laps, tattling and not finishing our green beans. Our friend Dennis had to write 10 times that he would listen next time. A girl next to us had to sing I'm a little tea pot, and then got in trouble again and had to stand with her nose on the wall behind us. We roared. And then there was dessert in our ViewMaster. Can we all say "Smore's"? Oh my gosh.........to die for!!!

3/14/04 Last day of vacation....boo hoo. We headed over to Fort Wilderness by bus via the transportation center (boats weren't running yet) Ate at Trails End - PS is not available. We got seated right away and had a great traditional breakfast buffet, and at an AWESOME price! This was by far our cheapest meal, especially for all you can eat! We wandered around, took the boat to Wilderness Lodge, which reminded us of our Grand Californian hotel and the Awahnee hotel in Yosemite. Took the boat back to the Poly, packed up our luggage and spent the rest of our time at the beach relaxing. Watched a beautiful wedding at the point.

Picked up by Thom again at Your Ride and off to the airport for our 6pm flight back to Calli!

We had a great trip but way to short!

Favorites: Castmember discounts on room/food and shopping and free admissions, Polynesian, Priority Seating's,Water Mouse's, Mickey's Phil, Pin Trading and Smore's!

Dislikes: Rude people on the buses, so many unfriendly castmembers in the parks (which I am very aware of, but it was noticed by all of us), same pins on castmember lanyards over and over.

I learned so much from TMFL and it really paid off. We got a lot done in a short amount of time. Can't wait to plan my next trip.....hopefully a cruise (heard many rumors the Magic is coming to Calif next summer for our 50th????) I sure hope so
