The Graszer Family
Well, got around early, got breakfast at McDonald's....then onto the plane, was fine trip, except had to reboot a computer in the plane, so late start, still got in around 3 and limo driver waiting, really nice guy, stopped at Publix, we got some drinks and bread and donuts and then on to hotel, Wilderness Lodge Villas.....they are okay, gave us non-pool view, but they are fixing it tomorrow... Our friends are here from Erie, and we met up with them finally at around 6:30, well, we talked her hubby into eating with us at the Liberty Tree Tavern....and well, was so cool, they let us in with 8 in our party.......so, too cool, their kids had not had a character dinner ever before even, all counter places to eat, so this was a treat for them for sure, we paid for them and she'll pay some back, but we did get 20% discount, but wow, tip is included and that was $28 alone, ouch!! gosh, they tip themselves big automatic like that, wow!!
anyway, did a few rides with them, and NAUGHTY JANICE, lost her laynard on the Haunted House, I was getting up and it dropped and well, I got out on wrong side to go get it, THEY STOPPED THE RIDE and yelled at me big time....oh well, I wasn't losing all those pins and my daughter's princess laynard....we survived, they didn't really need to stop it, I got it just fine and got back over just fine!! oh well.....the ride guy was a young punk and really just mean and nasty and doesn't understand how special that laynard was....
Anyway, did It's a Small World, wow, so neat, they super refurbished that one, it's soooo beautiful in there!! then Peter Pan ride too...then it was fire works time, we did watch from inside the park by the Dumbo ride the fireworks are like on both side of you and you have to look up all the time....I like looking straight on at the castle better I think....oh well, we wouldn't have made it back in time to do that.....we'll catch them another night, I really want to video it on my camera this year...I love that fireworks show!!
Well, had to say goodbye to Tina and family, they leave for home tomorrow, we are just here now for a week....don't know where we are going yet tomorrow....back to Magic Kingdom or Epcot I'm sure being close here...
It's very late, now and gotta get to bed, downloaded pictures and did the mail and well.....off to bed....it's like 1:17 already... ;o) Big day tomorrow I'm sure!! ;o)
Dinner for 4 adults and 4 kids at Liberty Tree Tavern was $148 with 20% DDE, that includes tip (18% automatic with party of 8)..
Groceries at Publix was $50
Limo was $100 and $15 tip (one way)
Breakfast was $8 at McDonald's
Bellman tip was $7
Okay, day started off early around 8:30...moved rooms this morning, this DVC wasn't pool view they told us at check-in was, so would take bags and give us one that someone was checking out of....so, got around this morning around 10ish I think and bellman took all our bags to store until we got back and checked into new room....
Went all over Magic Kingdom, did Splash Mountain for first time (hubby and Christy got soaked!!! front seat is worst!!) and did lots of rides today, the crowds were there, but Sunday is not as busy we noticed.....oh we did do the Stitch ride, not very thrilling at all, but well, little kids that like him a lot might like it better....we liked shooting the lasers at Buzz Lightyear way way better....... and did ThunderMountain 2 times and Haunted mansion and Indy ride today....lots of rides, and was it HOT today....very HOT!! anyway...lunch was fast at this little place by the Aladdin ride...we did that one too, my DD loved it!!
Then off to go see about our room at Wilderness Lodge (switched room) got it taken care of and luggage back and then off again....it poured too....it was raining, took a bus to Epcot and got to Morrocco just in time at 7:30 PS (we decided again Beirgarten and did Morrocco)...LOVED MARAKESH!! was so good!! I got this little appetizer for 2 for my meal.....forgot what it's called, but it's like beef in phyllo dough deep fried and then powder sugar on it...that was one, the other was chicken and almonds in the phyllo dought deep fried with powder sugar too....LOVED IT...hubby had chicken kabobs and dd had the spagetti (she didn't eat buy 1/10 of it, she's too wasteful!! ;o( anyway....was wonderful...dinner was cheap tonight, and SOOOO GOOD, only like $45 tonight, yeah!! ;o) lunch was like $15.....so, not too bad....;O)
well, we then stayed right in front of Morrocco after dinner, 20 minutes until the firework Illuminations show....WAS GREAT!! then off to Magic Kingdom, hoping to catch those, took too long, had to take 2 monorails to get there, so took awhile....so, oh well, got there for the ending of the fireworks, then park is open until 11:00 right now....all week except Saturday I guess too...so, after fireworks, everyone was leaving, but we stayed and went over to Fantasy land and well, just went on lots of rides, we did the Snow White ride, I liked it too..and Pooh ride and teacups and more Buzz Lightyear (twice did that!! no lines at all!!) it's fun just hopping on these rides, so after the fireworks is the best time!! ;o) then park closes now and take a boat back to Wilderness Lodge.... ;o) it's late now, downloading mail and all...gotta get to bed now.....
Money today:
Postcards was like $3
Mickey Ear was $2.50
and Lunch $15
Dinner $45 (Marakesh in Morrocco)
that's it....cheaper day for a change! ;o)
Okay, I'm writing this a little early, but we got up latish, like 8:30ish and out to Magic Kingdom on the boat by 10:30am.....went to find a ride, and Christy wanted The Thunder Mountain Railroad again, she loves that one the best right now...so, waited 30 minutes for that, then walked around a bit, and got up really close for Cinderellabration show....was really nice show, but soooo hot outside.....then had half hour to waste, not enough time for ride or anything, before 12:30 lunch at Royal Table (special lunch with Cinderella and other princess characters, even Mary Poppins too (Snow White, Belle and Aurora and Cinderella too)....nice lunch, extra fancy, was $64 for all of us for fancy filling lunch!!
Then left Magic Kingdom too crowded and went over to Epcot.....looked light, but went to go on Test Drive, 90 min. wait and FP are gone, so, thought, what the heck, I want to try Mission Space, Christy had to go with me, so I warned her, she was nervous, but it was easy, Jim would not try it, kept worrying it was a coaster, it wasn't at all!! Was easy, was just like a rocket taking off straight up really fast (and you know are in a simulator too, so not real, just made to feel real)...anyway, Christy was nervous through it all, but was fine when done, wanted to do it again then.......so, that was only a 10 minute wait, so walked over to The Land, wanted to do Soarin' but 80 minute wait time and NO FAST PASSES LEFT, all gone for the day.....boo hoo, I really wanted to do it, we almost stayed, but said we'll try standby tonight, we are going back to Epcot tonight for the resort only 3 hour time (9-12 is after park closes, only resort members can use the park then with a special wristband, too cool!!) this is only on Mon. and Friday for MK and Epcot...and tomorrow is Animal Kingdom from 6-9 for resort guests only, we are going there tomorrow for sure!! ;o)
Then let's see, left Epcot, took a bus, only 7 minutes from Epcot to Wilderness Lodge...straight shot....then Christy and Jim went swimming, I did downloads of pictures and emails, then went and took some video and pictures of Christy at the pool, she loves the pool slide!! ;o) back up around 5:30, looks like a rain storm brewing up again tonight, this happens around this time every night so far, lasts a couple hours and then clears out around 8ish and is better then at night (cooler too)....so, we are hoping to just eat light tonight....some counter place maybe at Epcot...and then try and do some of those rides tonight, if the rain leaves by then.....Tomorrow we are leaving this resort to go to Saratoga Springs....so will try a new place.....we are pretty much done at Magic Kingdom except watching the fireworks again and doing a few more rides maybe late on Friday when it's open until 2:am.....
Spent today: lunch for $64 at Royal Table
ice cream for Christy $2.50 at Epcot
dinner: Electric Umbrella? $17
Ate dinner at 8:30 at Epcot, Electric Umbrella I think.....$17 for dinner there, 2 burgers and a large drink for that....and fries I forget...didn't want anything much, but it was plenty...stayed and Jim went with us on Mission Space again this time.....and he didn't like it, it was easy and fine (but not for him, he didn't like it) ...and then onto Soarin' after Park closing and firework show was over...., got in in 40 minute wait (this is resort people only waiting right)....WORTH THE WAIT, was the best show!! we all loved it...then on to Test Track and well, had a 40 min. wait, so got a fast pass for 45 minute wait right and well, when we were done with the wait and first ride, went right back on in FP lane and got in and out in 20 minutes....then caught bus and back to Wilderness...we are all tired!! We did do the Globe ride too, forgot what that was called...no wait, so just hopped on quick... ;o)
Okay, day started as we moved from Wilderness to Saratoga, but luggage wouldn't come and check out until 1-3, so we thought we would check out a couple other Disney Vacation Club places, so, hopped bus to Boardwalk.....we loved it, me more...it's beautiful and 2 boats, one to MGM and one to Epcot, it's so nice, and has an actual boardwalk around a lake, and the pool is wonderful, Christy would love it...... and then on to Old Key West, it was nice but not much different than Caribbean Resort.....so, then came to Downtown Disney and had lunch at Earl's of Sandwich...nice place!! then stopped and Once upon a Toy and Christy got herself a princess Minnie (thank you Grandma for the $20)....it's so beautiful and has a beautiful princess hat, she likes it!! Then next checked in, it's really pretty here at Saratoga, took a boat over from Downtown Disney, really nice here, but Jim is mad, the view is lousy and they said they would give us a nice view, it's of a parking lot!! not happy with that. The pool is wonderful and right there though across the street..... So, they went swimming and I stayed here and computered for an hour, then they came back and we went to Animal Kingdom Magic hours....3 extra hours for resort guests only from 6 to 9, well, did go do Dinosaur (the ride) it was scary fun (not scary to me, but Christy didn't like it much)....then did some little rides in dinoland and then on to It's a Bug's Life, cute show, Christy didn't get as scared this time around......when we went to go out it was POURING CATS AND DOGS!! I MEAN POURING......we stood under the rocks by the show there for 1/2 hour I bet while it poured....then it lightened up a bit and decided to leave, it's 8:00 now and came back to Saratoga, ate dinner at the little ONE place counter here at the resort.....not much here to eat, had pizza flatbread there and bought a refillable mug......used it 6 times last night, Jim and Christy went swimming and we did our laundry in the FREE laundromat......took only about an hour because nobody else there, used all the dryers (well like 5 of them) and well, done quick that way..... so, then we came back it was around 11:30, waited for the fireworks show that's at midnight, well, what a scam....it was a total of 4 seconds....not 4 minutes.....SOOOOO DISAPPOINTING....I didn't even get to see them it happened that fast!! We didn't need this room on this side for that, oh well......we aren't having super luck with being Disney Vacation Club members at all, no special treatment really and not happy with our rooms and of course, we are arlready reeled in, so no recourse at all......at the mercy of Disney...not happy with that at all....;o( No daily maid service either, I miss that, I knew I would, but not paying $30 a day for that for sure!! ;o(
Well, tomorrow we are going to MGM for the whole day....today was just sort of a wasted day, did little non park things except those few rides at Animal Kingdom for 2 hours.....Wednesday we hope to do Tower of Terror and Beauty and the Beast and Little Mermaid and all the fun ones there at MGM!!
Food: Earl of Sandwich was $17 lunch
Dinner: at this little place at Saratoga, $28 including refill cup for $11.99
snacks: Muffin: $3 and Brownie/cookie $5
Well, today got around by I think 11:00 and went to MGM for the day.....started off arriving just in time for Beauty and the Beast at 12:00 show, (I was sooo happy too!!) so watched that then stood over in line for Tower of Terror, got on fast, like 20 minutes start to finish. Jim went to get fast passes for use while we were on the ride......he got Star Tours and the new Stunt Show , then we found a place for lunch, we went to ABC commissary, took forever, very long and not that great that's for sure, for cold fries and a cold burger, just bad!! anyway, then on to get another quick fast pass for Little Mermaid show, and then to do a ride, did Star Tours, was fun!! then to Little Mermaid (sooooo good!!) then onto Stunts show, well they wouldn't let us in because it had rained and looked like more rain (which it never did do, just some heat lightning) anyway, went and found the line for Who Wants to Be a Millionnaire and that was loads of fun, about 1/2 hour long.....you can win some real little prizes if selected from audience too.....hard to get on the HOT SEAT though, you have to have all the right answers to everything......then on to stunt show and then Indiana Jones and got another fast pass quick for Star Tours before Indiana Jones started.....so, went on that Star Tours again....it's a fun ride!! then ate at Mama's Italian Restraurante...had this cheese flat bread pizza for like 11:99 and a caesar salad was only $3.99, so much food too!! Christy at a little pizza and some bread from Jim's (he had chicken Parmesan) anyway, was a pretty cheap dinner too, considering how nice it was, we were impressed and waiter was soooo nice!! I think is was only like$37 total including tip for us to eat dinner there, which is cheap considering most dinners out are like $70. I did splurge on a few snacks today, Christy had a cookie and a popsicle and also got a Sprite today.....had to have it.....;o) Well, anyway, here's the biggie news.....
We get back after Jim had complained about the room being not nice because of the streets outside and it wasn't a view at all, so, he went and complained and they switched us rooms to another location and actually told us we had to leave our luggage at the bellman's (we walked it over actually) and then she even printed out the cards and said the room wouldn't be ready until 3:00, but we would have then keys then when it was.....so, we get back tonight right, and go get our luggage (ourselves, we are cheap, saved paying bellman this time around, because it's right across the street and well, we wanted the suitcases right away and didn't want to wait at all), so anyway, got them and the keys to the room didn't work.....WAS VERY MAD!! ;o( here we sit outside our room with our 5 bags and can't get in, and can't get them to answer front desk phone and finally, I find out they are sending someone over with the keys....and we wait and wait, so Jim is mad and he walks over there, they then come with the keys and well, we got in and it's an upgraded room.....it's a one bedroom, full bedroom and then the front living room, beautiful view and get this, has a hot tub....too cool!! ;o) Very Nice!! so we get this for 5 days too, wow, what a nice thing for them to do! Gonna watch the silly Downtown Disney 4 second fireworks in a bit here (it's at Midnight every night they shoot off a couple fireworks I guess) anyway, then off to bed soon, for another busy day tomorrow I'm sure!
Spent today: Lunch $17 ABC Commissary MGM
Dinner: Mama's Italianian Restaurante $37, very good
Snacks: Cookies/Brownies @$8 and Popsicle $2.50 and Pop $2.50 at MGM
Not really that much $ today, so, still doing great with my Disney Rewards Card $$, which is wonderful!!! ;o)
Well, today started out with our suits on and headed to Typhoon Lagoon, yes, I joined the water today, we went down the lazy river, looked for the family raft ride and 1 hour wait, so said forget that, so went to wave pool, and slides, I didn't want to stay there, so I went off for a bit while Jim and Christy did the waves....so I went to the Lazy River again, much more my speed when it comes to pools.....then left there, back to room, I showered, they went to the pool so Christy could go down the slide a little.....then back and we needed lunch, it's around 1:30 now and so, we headed over to Downtown Disney looking for a lunch spot....was gonna try Wolfgang Puck's Express, but didn't smell nice in there, so left and ate at Earl of Sandwich again, it's nice there, food we all like......sandwiches with good fancy rolls...and Christy likes the jello/banana parfaits and she had a banana, woo....but that's Christy!! so, then we went for a walk and looked into a few stores and headed to try Disney Quest...well, I thought it was gonna be sooooo cool, but well, Christy was sooo sad, she was 3 inches too short for making our own rollercoaster and riding it.....maybe next year....we did do Aladin's Carpet Virtual ride and then the JungleBook Cruise on this realistic like raft, that seems like you are riding over waterfalls and rapids, virtual stuff.....then did the Pirates of the Caribbean where you are like the Pirates shooting them out of the sea, then we did the Mighty Ducks virtual people pinball......that was about all we could do, other things cost points, more money, not really into all the games and stuff....didn't know how to play really, and some we did like, Christy was too little for...definately more of a gamer/teenager type place.....Jim and Mike would be able to do well in there I'm sure.....but we just don't get those games much (computer type action games...and these are Virtual (like you are in it) types....
After leaving DisneyQuest...decided we could make room now for that B1G1 free Brownie Sundae that I found a coupon for (birthday deal online)...it was from Ghiradelli's....lovely place...$7 sundaes, so better be lovely....but we got 2 brownie sundaes for $7.40 today.....very huge too.....didn't really need dinner, this was at like 5:30 already.....then headed on back on the little boat that takes you back to Saratoga from Downtown Disney.....got back and refilled that refillable cup I have....it's definately paid for itself!! (11.99 for it, but can fill up all the time after that free)...then back to room and watched the rain and lightning (what's Florida without a rain each day, it poured, but we weren't in it today for a change!!) we watched it from the room....no pool opened tonight, too much lightning, so we had to stay in, when the rain did let up...I stayed back and Jim and Christy went to Artiste Pallette for a flatbread Pizza again they sell there...and brought back cookies....then just sat around watched TV and I did my computer and well, they are in bed......just sorta a lazy day really, no parks today really....get up early for Animal Kingdom tomorrow, we want to do the Safari Ride and also do the Raging Rapids type ride....early....then ??
Today spent: Lunch: $17 at Earl of Sandwich
snacks: Ghiradelli's $7 for 2 Sundaes
Souvenier book and markers for Christy and needed contact case: $15
Snacks and Pizza for dinner: $20
Still not much really, we are doing well with the $$ I think... ;o) Wait until we get our souveniers....that will cost us!! ;o)
Well, started off the day earlier today to get over to Animal Kingdom to try and do the rapids ride.....made it, hardly any wait too, so we went on it, and got SOAKED, (which is why we made this a special trip with our watershorts on and Christy wore her swim suit too!!) then we were soaked already, so hardly any wait, so did it again......got wet again!! then moved on, we really wanted to do the Jungle Safari Ride, so headed over there, also wanted to do Lion King Show, so that was timed for 11:40, so got a Fast Pass for the Safari Ride and went to the Lion King Show next, it was SPECTACULAR, really really liked that show, had all of LionKing characters in it and well, dancing and singing and gymnastics and ballet dancers, and African type dances...just a wonderful show all in a circle in the round type theatre, not a bad seat in the place!! When that was over hopped over to our Safari Ride.....was really great, saw allt he animals, the hippos were all under water (can breath under water for 7-8 minutes) and the giraffes came up right by the car, was sooooo cool!! really great safari trip! Time for lunch after this one, so ate at Tusker House, really good food, I cheated though and had a kid's meal, didn't want much because going to Boma's for dinner at 7 and I wanted to be hungry....Lunch with Dining card (20% off) was only like $15 today....nice too.... hard to get a seat though, but we did! Then we thought we would maybe get going but did end up taking the train ride, saw the back side of like where the animals live at night, interesting, short ride, just stayed on, didn't wonder around on the trek, then came back and decided to go watch the bird show, it's like 2:00 now, so watched Birds of Flight show, was very very good, saw all kinds of neat birds and they are trained to do some natural type "tricks" I guess.....we even saw a bald eagle. Nice show.... Okay, almost 3 now and we head back so Christy and Jim can go swimming at the resort......lightning and rain storm almost here.... they get in about 1/2 hour then they call them out......rained for a while too, stayed in room, then had reservations for Boma's at the Animal Kingdom Lodge for dinner, was exciting to try a new place....this nice bus driver took us all the way there, about a 20 minute bus ride from us here....got there!! I love that place, the Animal Kingdom Lodge is beautiful, Jim doesn't like it, but I think it's spectacular!! I love the safari look and the animals carved into things, just so cool. Went to Boma's no waiting really at all, and wow, had the best waiter. The food I thought was wonderful, the choices, incredible (like a buffet)..the desserts, well, soooooo good....now shhhh.....we snuck 4 cookies, to take back, because you get so darn full you can't eat them there, so they were for snackin' on later......anyway, Boma's gets a 5 star review to me (it was rated one of the top 100 restraurants in the whole US).....well, now after dinner, went to the store at AK and got a bunch of bracelets and a ring, just some little cutsie ones for Christy and me and a friend, spent $32 there on sourveniers.....next on to Magic Kingdom had to stand on the bus so crowed, but went fast, talked with a nice family from Boca Raton the whole way, which was fun....then got to Magic Kingdom, did It's a Small World quick then found our spot for the show, looked for one of the best spots....and found one on a terrace over by the Spoodle Restraurant on the left side of the castle, very good view, but side view of the fireworks, not as good as straight on, but no heads blocking your view though.....You have to be there like 2 hours early to get a front side castle view to really watch the whole Wishes show....It was spectacular, but had to stand and move up because some people don't realize you can't just stand in front of people that have been waiting for the show, they are so ignorant and no courtesy at all to do that, so we had to stand and move up......oh well.....Good show though!! The we went back to try and do some rides.....very crowded still at 11:00 but found the Haunted Mansion and no line, so went on that, then over to Thunder Mountain Railroad and sorta watched the electric light parade along the way, it's now after 11:00 so got right on that ride, like a 10 min. wait only and that was fun, then went and did the Jungle Cruise, no wait, that was fun, never done that before......next did Aladdin's Carpets....fun!! then it's getting late now....so, decided we are tired, it's like 12:30....decide to go back.....catch a bus and head back, it's like 1:00 or after by the time we get back.....Christy brushed teeth and got pj's on and was out in 3 seconds I think..... ;o) I downloaded my 63 pictures and videos, just left it on all night, I was tired too.... ;o) Got great pictures!!!
Today Spent: Snacks; Lost track today probably $10-$20
Lunch at Tusker House: $15
Dinner at Boma's: $64
Souveniers today: picture frames and gifts and bracelets and little trinkets, probably around $50
Pricey day, but we haven't been spending much on dinners the last couple nights!
Well, today started out slow and lazy and Christy slept past 9:00, we were out late Friday, soooo.....went over and got coffee in my refillable cup, and got some snacks for everyone too, muffins are nice....spent like $8 over there on junkie snacks, but oh well, it's vacation....Next, got around to go to Epcot, wanted to do Soarin' again and go around the Showcase too, and have lunch in there while waiting for our Soarin' Fast Pass (we were lucky we did get one, but they go quick. We got there like by noon and still couldn't get into the ride on our fast pass until 4:12-5:12....the wait in the standby line was 100 minutes.....wow!! It's a cool ride, you feel like you are flying over California, wonderful ride!!! anyway, so went back to Showcase and started our journey stopping as some along the way, really just wanted lunch early so went to USA for lunch, $18 and no discount, need to write a letter about that....anyway.....then did the Mark Twain American movie, was good too...then onto Germany, nice, Biergarten is cool, and did Italy, got a mask there for Christy. just one you make yourself and it's cute.....on a stick. then onto Norway, and went on the Maelstrom ride there saw the trolls. Next, went to Mexico and went on boat ride there, nice and pretty at Mexico.......that's about our journey around. Still about an hour until soarin', so decided to go over there to The Land Pavillion still and did go see the Circle of Life movie, very good about conservation and not wasting things to save our earth. Next, got lucky, and Christy got to be a Jr. Chef and make Tollhouse Chocolate Morsel cookies....wow, it was too cute, just enough time too, took about 1/2 hour and we watched all the kids make cookies, was really fun for her!! Then onto Soarin' with our past pass, it's like 5:00 now......what a wonderful ride, got right on too!!
Then, not enough time to go back to hotel before our dinner at O'hana's (at the Polynesian), so just wondered our way out of the park stopped and looked at a store leisurely, then got on the monorail to take us to the ticket center, and walked the pathway over to the Polynesian hotel for dinner at O'hana's, we were 1/2 hour early for our 7:00 seating, but get this, it was soooo crowded and we got RIGHT IN......seat for 3 ready for us!! wow! Wonderful, Christy hoola hooped a couple times to the ukelale music and then did the broom/coconut roll too and came back with gobs of gummy worms too!!
Next left there and back to hotel.....they went swimming and I stayed back.....just had a quiet evening here and still was up to see the short Downtown Disney fireworks at midnight...... Nice hot day, no rain for a change, very unusual!!
Spent today: snacks $8
Lunch: $18 at USA pavillion in Epcot
snack: Strawberry Icy in Epcot, very nice and yummy and huge for like $2.50
Dinner: Ohana's in Polynesian Resort $64
Souveniers: some more bracelets: $7 (we like them!!)
NICE DAY!! ;o) Saturday.....one more day to go for the parks.... ;O)
Well, today started off slow but did get up like 8ish or so, but didn't get out until around 10:00, and went over to finish up getting some rides at Magic Kingdom and getting some goodies to take home too.....we were just gonna have lunch out then too while waiting for fast pass for Space Mountain, we knew that would be busy... So first had to take a bus to Epcot, then hop the monorail to the ticket center, then hop another monorail to the Magic Kingdom....first thing was to go get that fast pass for Space Mountain......it was for 11:55 - 12:55, soooo, had about 1 1/2 hours to find lunch and maybe do a ride, decided to wait the 30 minutes so Christy could ride that Astro Orbiter (the rockets you know....pretty simple ride, but up high..... did that then over to Pinochio's for lunch, nice lunch there too...I think we hopped on the Alice's teacups really quick too, only 5 minute wait, so did that.....then lunch, then hurried back to Space Mountain and nice ride.....went to the right this time with the fast pass only took like 15 minutes total from start to finish.....so when we were done, Miss Christy had to do it again, so we grabbed another fast pass immediately for it, which we could use by 1:55 I think it was......so went on the Blue Line for a little cool ride and then went shopping a bit, and got some candy.....best deal in the park I think for candy....Goofy's U-pick taffy right at the front of Mainstreet is that Goofy's Candy store......we filled up the $2.95 bag until it was stuffed way above the brim even and gosh, we got a lot of taffy YUMMY!! for like $3.20 total I think it was.....Hubby got some Fudge in a special tin, different kinds for $18, nice though.....Christy traded her 3 pins today that we had duplicates of too, got some cute ones too, one lady shared with us that the special ones that are cast member only have a little mickey imprinted on the front in the right lower corner, so learned that....some of the older ones don't but the newer ones that are cast member only do....so we learned that about trading pins. We went back and did our Fast Pass Space Mountain Ride and this time went to the left and I swear the ride is different than the right side.....I think there's two different rides there, not positive but I'm gonna have to find that out, but I keep my eyes open usually when I'm on the coasters and this one definately seemed like a milder, yet more round and rounds than the other side. Well, we finished up and it decided that it was just gonna pour rain on Disney about this time and we made it to the Monorail to head back and get on and it starts to rain.......switch to the Epcot monorail now and Jim talks to the conductor and gets us up front with the driver.....so, it's pouring (the driver John is really nasty and not talkative or friendly at all.....;o( it was pouring rain though, we get off there and have to wait a bit before we can even head to the bus to take us back to the hotel.....finally we dart off and get to the bus and back.....decide to go get our ice cream from the Disney Vacation Club....and meet some new people from Downers Grove, IL there that just joined, told them how nice it is and they were very nice and friendly......Next, we go back to the room now, it's raining again.....but they decide the lightning is done now and the pool will reopen around 5:30.....so, Jim and Christy go swimming for a bit, come back and we go over to The Artist's Palette for pizza for dinner tonight again.....also get a few little soveniers too.....Come back and Jim takes a walk Christy and I rest a bit, he comes back and they go swimming again for a bit.....getting tired now, the weather has all cleared off now though......head home tomorrow, so up early.......
Spent today: lunch at Pinochio's in Magic Kingdom was $18
snacks/candy at Goofy's Candy Store..$23
Dinner and snacks tonight at Artist Palette here at Saratoga was $13 for pizzas and like $20 on snacks and some little sovenier things we got
later Jim grabbed a beer for $6 too.....isn't that crazy, one beer, $6...oh well, that's Disney!! ;o)
The morning was uneventful really, just got up and packed everything, pulled our own luggage over today (our resort room was very close to front carriage house) and the limo was waiting already for us, was a younger guy, not a helpful as the first guy, but still nice. Got to the airport pretty early still and decided to eat some McDonald's before we went over by the plane.....got over to the plane and they were loading early, we actually got on about 1/2 hour early.....the plane was not full at all coming to Moline (it's Monday now though)....so, had a nice simple flight home, nice HOT weather of course, and got our luggage and headed for the car, Jim had to find the keys in the suitcase, found them, went home....Pretty simple morning, was home by 1:30 I think.....
Costs today was just breakfast: $10
Tip the Limo guy: $10
Parking for 9 days: $45
