Cheryl & DH - August 2007

Who: Scott & Cheryl from MN
Where: SSR
Why: Why: incredibly cheap airfare and left over DVC points AND my birthday to boot. When: 8/29 - 9/2/2007

Summary:
Wonderful, HOT, Humid, way too short, wonderful, hot, humid.

DAY ONE:
First magical moment was THE PERFECT studio at SSR in the springs section right next to everything!!!! Wonderful view of the water fountain and pergola. A birthday greeting waiting from DVC and the check in clerk sang part of Happy Birthday to me. Went to AK for EMH PM hours to see the villages lit up. Walked on to Kali Rapids and the Safari. Ate in one of those beatuiful areas behind Flame Tree BBQ...hint, keep walking until you can't anymore. There are tons of areas there that are almost private:)

DAY TWO:
On my birthday, Minnie Mouse sent me balloons and a special card for my birthday and had it waiting in the room.

DH treated me to a couples massage for my birthday:) Heads up on that one, you CAN request the massage be with a male or female provider. Hit a little quirk there.

Went over to the DVC preview center to find out when members could go in to see the villas mock up of AKL Villas, found out is was hours later BUT then was directed inside...where there were treats etc. Got a great tour and a tour of the grand villa at SSR, free pins and they took our photo as a gift.

We got the best table at Cali Grill and the watier, Walter, remembered us from before:) The manager ordered a photo of us for a magical moment in honor of my birthday. Watched the fireworks from the cat walk.

DAY THREE:
Went to BB when did they add all those stairs to get to the rides???? Great private areas abound for resting at this park. Learned that YOU CAN USE THE BAR CODE AT BOTH WATER PARKS ON THE SAME DAY:)

Dinner at Raglan Road with Barb & tony Harris (Soap and GKTW picker upper) from the list. Great to see them again. Barb is now famous!!! Fun place to eat. HINT: EAT LATER IN THE EVENING TO ALSO ENJOY THE LIVE MUSIC. Barb took pictures of us and the food. Desserts were great. Magic Moment: They gave us a ride to MK for the P&PP:) Awesome. No buses for us.

Went to PP&P, had NO crowd except at parade time. Awesome fireworks. Parade is only significant for having tinker belle live in it. LOTS of chocolate. Saw my man Mickey dressed in his pirate finest and met Capt Jack Sparrow....he asked me to repeat where we are from (Minnesota) in "that special way". What a flirt, don't tell DH. Also as a magical moment got my name on my princess mouse ears free (did you know they now charge $2?)

DAY FOUR:
Cape May Breakfast Buffet...awesome as always. Minnie and Goofy "sang" to me. Dinner at the Biergarten, not my thing, but fun. Last night, got a private viewing area for Illuminations as a magical moment for my birthday from cast member Marita. Was awesome!

DAYFIVE:
Up at 4:30 am TO FLY HOME.....WAY TOO EARLY. Magic Moment: NWA upgraded DH & I to first class so we could sit together:)
