Heather in Nova Scotia- March 2007

Cast of characters: Heather (28) & DH Klaine (32) from Nova Scotia, Canada

Day 1

We left Halifax on time(7:30 AM) , and with stop overs in Montreal, and Washington we landed in Tampa at 2:25 PM, by the time we got our luggage and picked up our rental car we were on the road by 3:30 PM towards Davenport and out house rental. We were starving at this point as our stopovers were just 30-40 minutes and by the time we got from arrival to departure gate we had no time to stop for lunch. So once we got outside Tampa and put that traffic behind us, we stopped in Plant City at a Bob Evan's for our lunch/dinner. We love Bob Evans and haven't ever had a bad meal and we find it is very reasonably priced.

Well after eating and hitting the road again we arrived at our rental house around 5 PM. It was beautiful, very clean and had every ammentity possible and then some! We highly recommend house rentals to all those staying off site, feel free to email me for my recommendations and areas. Anyway so we unpacked the rental car (a 2007 Dodge Caliber by the way) checked out the house and then were on our way to Magic Kingdom!

YAY! It was beautiful by the way, it was in the low 80's when we arrived and sunny and bright. So we hit the Magic Kingdom- we always take the monorail in and the ferry out. Crowds were very very light when we got there, no wait times at all! We did Lilo & Stitch- tell me was this ride broken when I was there or is it really just stupid? Why the heck did they bring that head rail down around you? We didn't move or anything we just sat there...I don't know what the heck the point of that ride was, good thing it was just a walk up and I didn't wait for it!

Next we did the Buzz Lightyear, I suck my score was only 19000! Klaine's was worse but he blamed it on having to steer the car too! Anyway it was funny but not a supper accurate shot.

Next we walked around Tomorrowland and then headed around to see Mickey's Philharmagic, what an excellent show, glad we didn't miss this again this time! Again walk in no wait.

Then we jumped onto It's a Small world, again no wait, I love it, Klaine was pretty bored though, poor man!

Next we went to Thunder Mountain, a classic favorite of ours, again we walked right up and on. Then we headed onto the POTC, which has been updated since our last trip in March 2005, golly gee how Jack Sparrow looks so REAL! It's amazing, again we walked right up and onto a boat.

We really, or rather I, wanted to do Tiki House but is was closed at 6 PM so we missed it, as well as where you get the Dole Whips! But other than that it was a jam packed evening of everything we wanted to do at MK.

We left and headed to the ferries, remember I said the crowds were light? Well we waited for 3 ferries before we got on! I don't know where all these people were hiding in there! Oh well it was magical none the less!

We stopped at the 7 eleven on our way back to the house and grabbed a chocolate milk and some popcorn, and were back at the house by 10:30 PM. We were exhausted having been up since 3:30 AM that day to start our flights here!

More to come later...

P.S. For those of you wondering why we flew into Tampa, we used our aeroplan rewards miles for our flights, and we got the best deal (least amount of miles) flying into Tampa rather than Orlando and the house we rented was 50 minutes from the Tampa airport or 40 minutes from the Orlando airport so really we were only sacrificing 10 minutes, and I doubt we did that as traffic was much lighter driving in from Tampa than it has ever been driving in from Orlando!
