Ann Marie Fowler - February 12, 2006

Cast of Characters: Me-Disneyfreak (36), DS-Evelyn (52), BIL-John (51), Neice Sarah (17), and Nephew Matthew (19).
When: February 12, 2006
Conditions: Weather was sunny and warm in the day, cool in the evening. Both parks were pretty crowded.

Evelyn and family has been involve in a community event once a year that USED to be called Happy Hearts Day that involves persons w/ disabilities and their party to go in for a reduced admission on a Sun.-Thurs. at either park. We paid $23.00 each.

The night before, they came back from seeing "Glory Road", which they said was very good. We decided to eat both lunch and dinner inside the park and made PS at Rainforest Cafe because they were already booked for next evening but I told the lady on the phone I have a Safari Club card and they made PS instead.

We woke up at 6:00am after I stayed up until Olympics are over and all of us ate cereal for breakfast except Evelyn who had strawberry/chocolate/banana smoothie. We left the house at 9:00am but 5 miles into this they forgot a couple of things so we went back to get Evelyn's hat, Sarah's jacket, and John's sweater. We arrived at little after 10:00am inside the parking lot; we were at Chip N Dale. We went on a tram w/out much a wait; sometimes there are two trams picking up at the same time.

We were searched and then got in line to go in DL. We got finally in at 10:30am and proceeded to our lockers which the large is $7.00. We went to Frontierland and John wanted to see the great show Billy Hill and the Hillbillies; but while we waited to go in John, Sarah, and myself went on Big Thunder Mountain w/ just a 5 min. stand by wait. Afterwards, we went inside the show and ordered lunch. I had chicked strips (4) and fries w/ ranch and BBQ which they charge extra, John, Evelyn, and Sarah had fish and chips, Matthew had chili bread, Sarah had chili fries, and shared mozella sticks. All were great and they let us have small waters. The show and food was outstanding and go there if you have to beat the heat! Outside there was this side show w/ also a great comedy w/ audience participation. We went to get autographs from Jessie and Woody nearby which wasn't a very long wait and pictures came out good. --More very unforunate incident later--

Then afterwards we went to The Tiki Tiki Room which is another one of those to go to beat the heat! Then we went to get FP's for Indiana Jones for John, Sarah, and myself. Then Sarah wanted to go to Tarzan's Treehouse so Matthew and John only went while I got some lemondade which the 21 oz. is $2.90.

Quickly came back to the group and went to POTC. Matthew was outside while rest of us went in this time. It would be possibly last chance to ride it before shutting down next month for a few months. We sat behind three teenage girls who we were stuck listening to their gossip whole ride. Went to Railroad sitting straight from New Orleans Square to Main Street. Next time we go, we'll go to the main train depot area to request to be inside the cabbose in one of the trains. John, Matthew, and Sarah are train enthusiasts BTW!!

We then walked to Main Street and went inside the Disneyland: The First 50 Magical Years finally and it was awesome both preshow and actual show w/ Steve Martin! But.....Sarah told us something terrible while getting instructions to enjoy the show from a CM (no cell phones, no video/photo, etc.): the autograph book w/ a bunch of Characters and her classmates/friends and a football like Tigger Tornadoes jersey was left inside the preshow area!!! Evelyn was totally upset cause of the 5 years working process of these character autographs at both DL and DCA. After show we went to City Hall to talk about this incident and CM suggest we to go Lost and Found and said there's nothing they can do cause no one turned it in either places!

We went to talk about me spending time by myself for an hour; so I went to Lost and Found for her and CM told me it didn't get turned in so I filed the report, went walking around to get a few DCA programs and DTD.

I went back to them at 5:30pm and we went out w/ handstamps and proceeded to DTD together on our way to Rainforest Cafe and arrived actually at 6:00pm and went to hostess and told her we're here and said they'd call my name. We saw some nice items to buy later w/ my card discount. We sat right by the restrooms! We ordered drinks and appetizers first which includes softdrinks, chicken quesidenas, and some chips w/ crab dip. For dinner Matthew ordered nachos supreme, John ordered BBQ chicken pizza, Sarah ordered shrimp pizza, Evelyn ordred pasta w/ white sauce, and I ordered cheeseburger and fries sub. All fo them were outstanding and big portions! They gave us a discount and Evelyn paid w/ her card which total was $79.00 minus tip.

We went back to DL and walked to get a good view of the Remember Dreams Come True Fireworks show which took a while; but 1/2 hour before the show they announced over PA the high winds has delayed the show..but 20 minutes later it was announced it was gonna be ON...but 10 minutes later once again the PA announced the show was cancelled so quickly we went to get a good spot for Fantasmic which their first show ended that time. Waited 45 mins. sitting on the concreate and show was on as schedule and it was AWESOME!

We then went on our way out of the park to a couple stores and got some ice cream at Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor which was very good!!! We then left the park at midnight and went back to Lost and Found to show Evelyn how I made a lost items report. We went home at 2:00am and went right to bed!

Best Moments: Great food at all restaurants. Nice Day.
Worst Moments: Losing Sarah's autograph book and Tigger football like jersey.
